more on my ultimate high

more on my ultimate high:

...greenhouse plant sale..i bought plants with names...impatiens (latin for impatience) and celosia( sounds like selosa)....puhahahahahahaha!

....cotton district arts festival....didnt buy any interesting artwork, "interesting" meaning student cheap. But got to eat grilled baby back ribs(eh?) and enjoyed good new orleans type jazz music.

...public library ...haywire!.. 50 cents for all hardbound good quality books.. heaven.

...unfortunately, i wasnt able to watch the open horse show i've been waiting for (dang it). sad.

... i love as the semester ends... except for..

1 million papers to grade and students bugging me for extra review sessions before the finals!
3 projects i need to finish..( caused by too much procrastination!)
        and incessant journal reading!

oh well...tiheeee.

dog musher

these dogs are so adorable!....
Iditarod_2

I would love to run one iditarod race in my lifetime! I'm considering being a dog musher now. It doesn't pay much but the thrill compensates for it.

spring sales

my form of crack/pot/: Sales!

Library book sale last week was fabulous! Got to fill 2 boxes with good books. Now,I have enough giddy reading material to last me a year.

Skirt spring/summer sale was also crazy. Got a couple for a few bucks, just in case i wake up  and have a  "let's go to lab wearing a skirt day" episode.

car sale? i hope one pops up soon. Kub, my old and ratty car has been coughing up black smoke for  the past few  days. He's sick and i think anytime, he's going to give in.

and the musical items sale..not actually cheap, but i went ahead and bought myself a couple of strings.. maintaining a lot of musical instruments is actually costing me much more the i expected. the strings (which i keep on breaking)  cost a fortune!

sales..my ultimate high!  but it's leaving me dry..:)

Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind

Eternal_sunshine_of_the_spotless_mind    I would have to go against the critics and tag this as a weird movie. I was probably not prepared to watch an emotionally draining  "romantic comedy" film with so much subliminal message in it. It would be nice however to have your memory be selectively obliterated and  be left with only happy memories.

Even if memory erasure were possible, I think i'll still opt to keep my" not-so-good" memories safely tucked in my cerebrum, because it is afterall ,partly the reason of why i am what i am. And as of the moment I am happy with what I have become.
